Hook's Legacy Customs started as a passion project of sorts. Initially, products built were confined to One-Way Disks, custom, and Scratch-built items. In 2018 a move was made towards a mechanized approach that started with laser cutting and die cutting Windmills, Harsh Feed Boxes, and Ansel Cabs. With the increasing affordability of 3D printed technology, the hobby went in a direction of Resin and FDM 3D printed Items.

It was in the Spring of 2019 that Hook's Legacy Custom sparked increased interest in pieces, unique to only HLC. One of the hit pieces were engines with visible pistons and full details thinner than a human hair! The business venture began with the mass production of detailed components such as Hydraulic Cylinders. After a lengthy search for people building antiques Hook's Legacy Customs added an extensive line of Tractors, Grain Drills, Combines, and a multitude of other items. An additional division to HLC was added to provide custom designing and mass production of new and exciting products. Through ample marketing research, HLC has developed relationships with manufacturers of raw materials, equipment, printing services to provide clients the best quality on the market.

Items produced by Hook's Legacy Customs have made it onto several National Show Winning displays, the biggest achievement being a 2020 Gateway Arch Show Winner with a 6,273 piece Gleaner-Baldwin P then following it with a 2020 National Farm Toy Show winning model of a 1920 Savage Harvester. In 2021 HLC started the year hot by adding many new clients, which was seen by the addition of even more items. Much of 2023 was dedicated toward the 100th Anniversary of Gleaner, finishing the year off with the Intricate Diorama of the Gleaner Independence Works.

In 2023, HLC has been featured in several articles on the history of a multitude of Kansas Agricultural Manufacturers. This started a step toward publishing books and being added as a contributor to the Heritage Iron Magazine. In addition to this HLC struck agreements to further expand the line of product options.
